Darien commenced her real estate career in Victoria as a licensed real estate salesperson from 1974 to 1978. She then moved into real estate appraising and has been an active, full time appraiser for the last thirty years. For the first 24 years she owned and operated Cunningham & Rivard Ltd. (Victoria) with her husband. After a brief career with the Canada Revenue Agency, she moved to the Cowichan Valley and returned to being a fee appraiser. She joined the ranks of Cunningham & Rivard Ltd (Nanaimo) Duncan’s office in January 2008.
